Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture seeks a Transportation Operations Leader to drive DOT compliance, safety, scheduling, depot maintenance and dispatching across our regional network.

You will lead tractor-trailer drivers, partner with DC/Depot ops, and optimize logistics costs while ensuring compliance and service quality. Base pay ranges from 112,000 to 120,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transportation operations in a large retail or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage driver teams and contractor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide site leadership to transportation operations including DOT compliance, safety, scheduling, depot serviceability and dispatching.
• Manage operational efficiency and transportation logistics costs and service.
• Oversee safety and company compliance with all applicable DOT laws and fleet maintenance.
• Lead tractor-trailer driver workforce including hiring, retention, development and engagement.
• Coordinate day-to-day scheduling with DC and Depot operations and respond to load inquiries.
• Manage yard operations and deliveries to regional depots, stores and other DCs.

Responsibilities

Provide site leadership to the transportation operations: DOT compliance, safety, schedules, maintenance, depot serviceability, yard management and dispatching function. Manage operational efficiency of transportation logistics costs and service Manage safety and company compliance with all applicable DOT laws and regulations including maintenance and repairs of fleet. Manage tractor trailers driver workforce including hiring, retention, development, employee relations, terminations, engagement and compensation. Leadership of day-to-day logistical scheduling operations while partnering with DC and Depot operations including the ability to respond to load inquiries. Manage yard operations and deliveries into the regional depots, stores and other DCs (including handling of emergencies through the night into the morning)

Pay

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities: 112,000.00 - 120,000.00 (Annual)
