KPMG is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for our Business Tax Services practice.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a portfolio of clients of various sizes and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
2. Direct teams of tax professionals/assistants on client projects.
3. Understand and analyze U.S. GAAP rules affecting taxpayers.
4. Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets.
5. Advise clients and deliver high-quality tax services and advice.
6. Assess tax impacts, develop tax arguments, and suggest plans to clients.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:

1. Participate in external market and business activities, providing team leadership.
2. Coach and mentor tax professionals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience supporting alternative investments; previous experience as a tax manager in public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; CPA, JD/LLM, or EA license; if not possessed at hire, must obtain within one year.
• Proficiency in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and flow-through entities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:

• Minimum eight years of recent experience as a tax senior manager supporting alternative investments.
• Experience reviewing 1120 RIC, 1065 tax returns, including Schedule K-1, and managing client engagements.
