About the Role

KPMG is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice. This role involves managing client portfolios, leading tax teams, and providing high-quality tax advisory services.

Responsibilities

1. Manage a portfolio of clients and act as the primary contact.
2. Lead and direct tax professionals and assistants on client projects.
3. Analyze and interpret U.S. GAAP rules affecting clients.
4. Manage engagement risks, financial performance, billing, and collections.
5. Deliver high-quality tax advice and develop tax strategies for clients.
6. Assess tax impacts, develop arguments, and advise clients on plans.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager

1. Contribute to external market and business activities and lead teams.
2. Mentor and coach other tax professionals.

Qualifications

1. Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in financial services supporting alternative investments; prior experience as a tax manager in public accounting.
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; CPA, JD/LLM, or EA license required or within one year of hire.
3. Proficiency in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and flow-through entities.
4. Excellent communication skills.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager

1. Minimum eight years of experience as a tax senior manager supporting alternative investments.
2. Experience reviewing 1120 RIC, 1065 tax returns, and managing client service teams.
