Job summary

eBay is seeking a Senior Manager, U.S. Federal Government Relations based in Washington, D.C. to own a portfolio of federal policy issues impacting ecommerce and online marketplaces, with emphasis on technology, privacy, AI, IP, and consumer protection.

You will develop advocacy strategies, engage Congress and federal agencies, and advise internal leaders on policy developments and engagement plans. Strong cross-functional collaboration across Legal, Public Policy, Communications, and Product is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, government, law, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 8–10 years in federal government affairs or related roles, with focus on technology, ecommerce, privacy, AI, IP, etc.
• Experience with House/Judiciary and Energy & Commerce committees strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. federal legislative and regulatory process.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of federal government relations strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting ecommerce and online marketplaces.
• Build and maintain relationships with legislators, officials in the executive branch, and policymakers.
• Track and analyze proposed legislation and agency actions; provide strategic analysis to leadership.
• Prepare executives for meetings, testimony, and external engagements with briefing materials and memos.
• Lead coalition-building with industry peers, trade associations, and other groups.
