Job summary

Avanza LLC is seeking an experienced Manager - Financial Management & Analytics to lead federal financial management engagements and analytics projects in a hybrid setting based near Arlington, VA. You will ensure client satisfaction, drive team performance, and deliver high-quality analyses and recommendations to senior leaders.

The role requires 8+ years in related fields, an advanced degree as a plus, and fluency with Excel and BI tools.

Qualifications

8+ years in management consulting, financial management, budgeting, analytics, or related field.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field required; advanced degree a plus.
Credentials such as CGFM, CDFM, CFA, CMA preferred; equivalent federal financial management experience considered.
Strong consulting judgment and structured problem-solving; ability to lead ambiguous work end-to-end.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day engagement delivery and client satisfaction, including scope, schedule, quality, and risks.
Lead client meetings, clarify requests, identify underlying decisions, and translate into analytic plans.
Manage multidisciplinary teams; assign work, review progress, remove blockers, and integrate outputs into solutions.
Challenge methodologies, data quality, and results; investigate material anomalies before completion.
Translate analytical findings into conclusions, caveats, recommendations, and insights for leadership.
Mentor and assess team members; provide timely performance feedback and development support.
Remain hands-on to perform or support selected analyses when senior involvement is needed.
