Providence Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX is seeking an experienced Environment of Care leader to manage hospital facilities projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee engineering staff. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will coordinate budgets, schedule work, and drive safety and efficiency across a 500,000+ sq ft campus.

The role requires strong leadership, budget planning, and familiarity with Joint Commission surveys to maintain high standards of care and facility

Qualifications

• 5 years maintaining equipment, utilities, and buildings in a large hospital.
• 5 years leading a healthcare facility department.
• 3 years exposure to Joint Commission surveys and hospital regulators.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of hospital facilities projects, coordinating workers, materials and equipment.
• Ensure specifications are followed, schedules met, and budgets kept.
• Assist Regional Director with daily operations and budget planning for maintenance.
• Schedule, train, and evaluate Engineering staff; enforce hospital policies.
• Resolve complex staff issues and maintain maximum facility efficiency.

Description

Reporting to the Regional Director, Environment of Care – Texas-New Mexico provides management oversight for all phases of hospital facilities projects, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment. Ensures all specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Assists the Regional Director with the day-to-day operational and personnel activities of the Engineering department. Schedules and inspects the work of all Engineering staff. Assists the Regional Director in operational and budgetary planning for the maintenance of the facility and proposed projects. Selects, trains, and evaluates staff; assures that Hospital and Department policies are observed. Resolves difficult or complex issues encountered by the staff. Maintains hospital facility ensuring maximum efficiency.

Hours

Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5:00 pm. On-call and weekend is an add needed bases.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years Maintenance of equipment, utilities, and buildings in a large hospital setting of 500,000 square feet or greater.
• 5 years' experience managing a healthcare facility department in a leadership role.
• 3 years Exposure to multiple Joint Commission surveys and other hospital regulatory agencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.

Pay Range: $43.02 - $67.91 The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
