The Senior Manager will be a key leader responsible for owning product deliverables, driving technical excellence, and leading high-performing teams in Flexera’s FinOps solution space. This role demands hands-on experience in managing teams and a deep understanding of building scalable, cloud native, high-performance microservices-based software as a service applications servicing cloud customers.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of Deliverables:

• End-to-end ownership of software product development deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes
• Collaborate with product management and design teams to align technical deliverables with business goals

Technical Leadership:

• Architect, design, and guide the implementation of microservices-based applications
• Enforce and enhance engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and deployment standards
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and bring innovation to the team

Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support career development
• Manage team dynamics and address challenges to maintain productivity and engagement

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with stakeholders including product managers, designers, and operations teams to align technical priorities
• Identify dependencies, manage risks, and ensure seamless coordination across teams

Scalability and Performance:

• Ensure systems are designed to scale and perform under increasing workloads
• Optimize existing systems and workflows to achieve operational efficiency

Experience:

• 12+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Proven expertise in building and scaling microservices-based architecture
• SaaS / product development and leadership experience
• Experience leading development teams working with the following technologies: Go, Python, React, Databricks/Apache Spark, MongoDB, SQL, API management, Microservices architectures, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GC
• Deep expertise in AWS services, cloud-native development, data management systems, and data lake technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience with Agile methodologies and development practices

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience equivalent
