Job summary

Renew Home is seeking a Senior Manager, Communications to own the external voice across media, partnerships, and executive visibility. You will shape strategy, lead media relations, and partner with leadership to tell a cohesive narrative.

You'll build relationships with energy trade press and tier-1 outlets, guide crisis messaging, and drive proactive storytelling in a fully remote, high-growth environment. This role offers a competitive base salary and broad strategic impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of communications experience, with meaningful energy-sector experience.
• Strong relationships with energy trade press and tier-1 financial/business journalists.
• Proven B2B editorial mindset.
• Experience guiding early-stage or high-growth companies through milestones.
• Comfort with ambiguity and changing timelines.
• Exceptional writing and spokesperson skills.
• Experience building a communications function and managing agencies.
• Crisis communications expertise and rapid response.
• Ability to align cross-functional teams to a clear external narrative.
• Experience working with remote, distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead media relations across energy trade media and tier-1 outlets.
• Plan and execute partner announcements and press releases.
• Build an executive communications program for the CEO and others.
• Develop talking points and plans for executive appearances.
• Identify and develop additional spokespeople and thought leadership.
• Own strategy for external social channels and ensure narrative consistency.
• Align communications with go-to-market, product, policy, legal, and data teams.
• Set measurable KPIs for communications impact.
