EBR Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead the integration of electrical, firmware, and software into a single system.

The role drives architecture direction and develops talent across an engineered, regulated medical-device environment in Silicon Valley. The position balances delivering today’s products with building a strong technical foundation for future generations, partnering with firmware, software, mechanical, and program management teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical or firmware engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience directly managing engineering teams.
• Experience defining and governing system architecture in complex embedded hardware–software products.
• Experience working in regulated product development environments (medical device experience preferred).
• Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop EE team including junior engineers and senior technical leaders.
• Scale EE capability through delegation, architectural empowerment, and modern engineering practices.
• Partner with systems and firmware development to define system partitioning and interface boundaries.
• Resolve cross-domain technical trade-offs in collaboration with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering.
• Manage projects to ensure architectural risks and trade-offs are visible in program plans and by key cross-functional stakeholders.
• Engage with Sustaining Engineering to ensure field learnings inform future electrical architecture.
• Support Sr. Directors in R&D in architectural resolution when system-level decisions impact product strategy.
• Other duties as assigned.
