Job description

Job Title: Senior Manager, Education Program Operations

Department: Scientific Programs and Professional Education

Status: Exempt

The Lymphoma Research Foundation seeks a Senior Manager to serve as the operational lead for its professional education portfolio, with a growing focus on regional, in‑person education and networking forums for physicians and allied health professionals who treat patients with blood cancers. The Senior Manager, Education Program Operations manages the day‑to‑day operations of the Foundation’s professional education programs and provides additional departmental support to ensure team success.

About the Foundation

Located in New York City, the Lymphoma Research Foundation is the nation’s largest non‑profit organization devoted to funding innovative research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives, and patient services.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for lymphoma, the most common form of blood cancer, by funding biomedical research and supporting the next generation of lymphoma researchers. With the guidance of the Foundation’s prestigious Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), which is comprised of 45 of the world’s leading lymphoma experts, the Foundation invests in the research projects and scientists that have the greatest potential to improve our understanding of lymphomas and lead to improved treatment options for patients. To date, the Foundation has funded more than $87 million in research focused on the origins and treatment of lymphoma.

Through comprehensive disease guides and publications, in‑person conferences, and online resources, the Foundation provides education for people with lymphoma, as well as their loved ones and care partners. A robust suite of Foundation patient services provides direct support to people who have received a lymphoma diagnosis. These services include the national Lymphoma Resource Center, a Clinical Trials Information Service, Lymphoma Support Network, and a patient aid grant program. The Foundation also provides professional education and networking programs designed to increase the knowledge, skills, and performance of healthcare professionals who treat and care for people with lymphoma and other blood cancers. For more information about the Foundation, please visit lymphoma.org.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will bring direct experience managing program logistics and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities; experience planning conferences or education programs for healthcare professionals is a plus. The Foundation’s mission is to realize the promise of science to eradicate lymphoma and serve the community touched by this disease. A background in blood cancers is not required, and candidates with an interest in the Foundation’s mission are encouraged to apply.

The Senior Manager will support and execute the Foundation’s professional education programs for healthcare professionals who treat and care for people with lymphoma. A key initiative is a new regional education forum launching in 2027, a multi‑day, in‑person program bringing together oncologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers, with a particular focus on community‑based providers. The forum will deliver expert‑led education on advances in blood cancer treatment while fostering professional networking and peer engagement. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in program execution, including managing relationships with program leadership, faculty, and sponsors; recruiting attendees; coordinating pre‑ and postprogram evaluations; overseeing program preparation and logistics; and providing on‑site support. As the regional forum model evolves, the Foundation anticipates expanding it to additional regions and making it a central part of its professional education portfolio. The Senior Manager will grow with this work and is expected to take on a substantially larger role in its planning, execution, and expansion.

The Senior Manager will report to the Director of Scientific and Professional Education Programs and be accountable for managing the workflow, logistics, programming, and output of the Foundation’s professional education portfolio, including its regional education forums. This individual will also provide additional departmental support to ensure team success, including preparation for professional education programs and other important department events. This position is based in the Foundation’s New York City office; all New York‑based staff are required to work in the Foundation office weekly Tuesday–Thursday; staff may elect to work remotely Mondays and Fridays.
