Senior Manager, Donor Engagement & Stewardship

Location: United States — Office: Remote

Overview

The Senior Manager, Donor Engagement & Stewardship is a proactive, creative leader who designs, implements, and continually enhances donor engagement and stewardship at Per Scholas. This position is a new role focused on elevating donors’ experience across our first-ever centralized donor engagement and stewardship program. The Senior Manager will begin by operationalizing new giving circles designed to improve donor retention, deepen engagement, and uncover growth opportunities. Then, through collaborative program development and intensive project management, the Manager will continually enhance, systematize, and streamline donor cultivation, stewardship, and donor relations across our organization.

What you’ll do
  • Craft the national donor engagement & stewardship plan for all donor types and levels, with a focus on efficient and effective implementation of giving circles
  • Source and/or create stewardship assets and engagement opportunities through collaboration with business partners across the organization, including: national development team members; the national program, marketing & communications, training, and alumni teams; revenue operations; and local campuses
  • Drive seamless, consistent, and timely delivery of centralized touchpoints and experiences, developing processes and standard operating procedures that align business partners and ensure quality
  • Provide resources, training, and accountability that enable frontline fundraisers and local campuses to contribute personalized and/or localized engagement to the donor experience
  • Oversee giving circle membership data in Salesforce, ensuring continual improvement in data accuracy and completeness
  • Attend program and fundraising activities as needed (travel and occasional evenings will be required)
What you’ll bring to us
Professional Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of sophisticated major gifts program experience, with a proven track record of effective donor engagement and stewardship
  • Experience creating/enhancing centralized donor relations and/or stewardship preferred
  • Experience using data to assess engagement strategies and recommend improvements
  • Self-motivated and strategic thinker with a strong track record of driving results both independently and as a collaborative member of a high-performing team
  • Superior written and communication skills, with experience in donor communications preferred
  • Ability to garner trust and confidence of leaders and colleagues at all levels
  • Knowledge of philanthropy landscape and trends
  • Experience with CRMs required, with Salesforce experience preferred
  • Experience with marketing and design platforms (such as HubSpot and Canva) preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Apps for Business (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Chat, etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, and work occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed

Salary: The salary range for this role is between $80,000/year and $90,000/year, with variation based on geography and alignment with qualifications and experience.
