Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Senior Manager of Directory Services to lead the enterprise directory infrastructure, including AD, Entra ID, LDAP and PKI integrations, across global platforms. You will drive strategy, modernization, governance, and cross‑functional collaboration with IT, security, and app teams.

The role emphasizes security, compliance (SOX/GxP), high availability, and scalable design, with responsibility for vendor management, incident response, and user experience improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 6+ years in identity and access management with at least 4 years on Directory solutions.
• Strong background in IT security, authentication protocols, and IAM frameworks.
• Deep understanding of Directory technologies (e.g., LDAP/LDAPS, replication, and GPOs) and PKI.
• Knowledge of identity providers like Microsoft AD, AD LDS and Azure AD.
• Able to solve highly complex authentication and authorization problems in a global environment.
• Understanding of security best practices for identity management, including encryption and secure protocols.
• Experience leading IAM engineering and operations teams within a Global Business Unit.
• Understanding SOX and GXP regulations and guidelines.
• Proven track record managing long‑term complex projects.
• Agile mindset and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise directory services roadmap.
• Modernize legacy directory infrastructure.
• Establish standards for directory design and governance for scalability and high availability.
• Lead directory consolidation and migration initiatives.
• Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of directory services.
• Collaborate with IT, security, development, and product teams on secure access.
• Maintain security controls and compliance alignment with regulations.
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party providers.
• Lead incident management and troubleshooting for directory issues.
• Improve end-user login experiences while preserving high security.
• Define KPIs for directory performance and security metrics.
