Senior Manager; Development Engineering - Transducer R&D (Reedsville, PA)

In this exciting and fulfilling role, you will be challenged as a leader of a team as both a Functional Manager as well as a Project Manager within our Ultrasound Diagnostic Imaging business unit.

Your role:

  • Management of Transducer new product development and technology team and projects.
  • Functional Manager of a team of Engineers and Technicians made up of cross functional disciplines.
  • Be a key contributor to our cross-site Transducer R&D staff.
  • Lead new product development projects, business critical improvement initiatives, and other cross functional activities.
  • Assist in developing Transducer R&D strategies and planning.


You're the right fit if:

  • You've acquired 10+ years of experience in hardware new product development activities, preferably in the medical ultrasound space. You should have prior experience and proven ability to work on a leadership team, as well as participating in and contributing to a major product development core team.
  • Your skills include providing leadership, setting direction of a team, and coaching direct reports in a fast paced R&D environment. Experienced in good project management principles and practices.
  • You have BS in a technical engineering discipline.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
  • You're a good motivator with strong communication skills; both written and verbal, with the ability to present on status of projects to senior management. You develop, manage, and report on status of project/department budgets.


How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

This is an office-based role.

Philips Transparency Details:

The pay range for this position in PA is $124,000 to $199,000

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
