This is a new position. You will join a new cutting-edge Data Science team to advance the global drug development process. We are seeking candidates with experience modeling complex clinical, real-world data (RWD) and imaging data using machine learning, deep learning and computer vision algorithms. We value hands-on, state-of-the-art practitioners.

What you’ll do
  • Work with stakeholders to develop, implement and apply state-of-the-art algorithms to address key business problems
  • Develop novel ways of integrating, mining, and visualizing diverse, high-dimensional and disparate data sets
  • Develop end-to-end image analysis pipelines and build deep learning models on images
  • Drive the development and implementation of innovative statistical methods and novel trial designs
  • Translate digital health analytics using modern data processing and learning capabilities including ML, AI, deep learning, and beyond
  • Formulate, implement, test, and validate predictive models and automate processes for scalable modeling results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, data scientists, translational medicine scientists, statisticians, and IT professionals
  • Work closely with medical professionals to understand clinical requirements and translate them into actionable deep learning solutions
  • Manage and coordinate limited resources to deliver quality outputs within timelines for competing priorities
  • Write high-quality, documented code following best practices such as test-driven development and Python packaging
  • Publish research papers in top-tier conferences and journals
Key Requirements
  • Ph.D. in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Computational Biology, Computational Linguistics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science)
  • 1+ years of professional Data Scientist experience after Ph.D.
  • Proficient in Python and libraries, especially PyTorch, for designing and implementing deep learning models for medical image analysis
  • Expertise in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Transformers, Self-Supervised Learning
  • Ability to track and apply latest advancements in deep learning and medical imaging research to clinical study design
  • Demonstrated experience leading statistical innovation in industry
  • Experience developing statistical and machine learning models on high-dimensional data
  • Experience applying AI/ML to data generated from clinical trials or electronic health records, particularly in pharma R&D
  • Interest in clinical trial data interpretation and drug development processes

Compensation Overview

Remote - United States - US: $148,230 - $179,622

The starting compensation range is listed for a full-time employee. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. Final compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
