Job description

As the Senior Manager of Data Analytics for Ecommerce, Health & Supply Chain, this role will be responsible for partnering with Health, Merchandising, Inventory Management, and Fulfillment teams. You will influence the company’s strategy and help the company grow through advanced business analytics that raise data fluency and sharpen how decisions are made. The successful leader must be ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the data, systems, and models, while working collaboratively with the team ensuring you are able to effectively partner across the organization. This highly visible role will interact with the executive team as a thought partner to bring new insights and recommendations to the table.

Who You Are
  • Deep eCommerce or retail analytics experience - fluent in the core KPIs for inventory, order economics, pricing, and fulfillment/supply chain cost and efficiency (AOV, unit economics, instock rates, meat beat scores, fulfillment CPUs), and you apply proven industry practice rather than rebuilding it from scratch
  • Proven at balancing people management with hands-on IC work - you can point to analysis you've owned yourself while leading a team, not just work you've coordinated
  • Experienced managing experienced analysts - you bring structure and clear prioritization to a team that already executes well, so they're always on the highest-impact work
  • Confident partnering with VP+ stakeholders - you've built real relationships with senior business leaders and shape priorities with them proactively, front and center with executives
  • Hands-on with AI-native analytics - you've built or are genuinely curious about self-serve analytics infrastructure (semantic layers, context layers, AI-connected reporting), not just traditional dashboards
  • Engaged in what’s building - you ask why before how, challenge assumptions, and contribute to direction instead of delivering dashboards in isolation
  • Prioritizes progress over perfection - you scale rigor to what’s at stake and ship a strong, decision-ready answer on time rather than over-polishing
  • 8+ years of experience, ideally with experience in a Data role in a high growth consumer technology or e-commerce company; 5+ years of experience at a manager level
  • You naturally reach for AI in your work - at Babylist, every team uses AI daily. You’re already using it to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what’s coming next.
  • Strong sense of ownership, intellectual curiosity and an ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail but an equally important ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context
  • Extensive experience in data analytics, big data technologies, and statistical modeling to drive business insights.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and data strategy principles.
How You Will Make An Impact
  • Lead and develop 5 experienced analysts and data scientists - prioritization, coaching, quarterly goal-setting, and clean handoffs with stakeholders
  • Own a meaningful book of actionable analysis yourself across eCommerce, supply chain, and health - you stay close to the data, not managing from a distance
  • Partner directly with senior leaders in each area, with regular exposure to the executive team
  • Define and steward the KPI and reporting standards these functions run on
  • Advance our AI-native analytics roadmap, including self-serve tools that connect business teams directly to our data
  • Set the bar for what strong, AI-forward analytics work looks like - and champion it across the team, pushing analysts to share ideas, cross‑pollinate approaches, and spread unlocks org-wide
  • Create a culture of Data Analytics excellence where the function is viewed as a strategic partner on analytical matters, providing guidance and assistance to all functional groups as needed
  • Solve complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely analysis, business insights, and recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders
  • Translate business priorities into a clear, prioritized analytics roadmap - weighing tradeoffs and making strong recommendations on what the team takes on and what waits
Why This Role
  • You're inheriting 5 strong analysts who are already delivering - this isn't a rebuild, it's a chance to level up and scale a team for the future growth of Babylist
  • This pod sits at the intersection of supply chain, health, and e-commerce, with direct exposure to senior business leaders
  • Babylist's data team is genuinely ahead of the curve on AI-native analytics - you'll help shape self‑serve tooling most companies are just starting to think about
  • Real IC time is built into this role by design - you'll stay close to the work, not manage from a distance
