Senior Manager, Data Analysis - People Analytics at Capital One. Lead a high‑performing team of analysts in the People Strategy and Analytics (PS&A) unit, driving talent acquisition initiatives, international strategy, and broader organizational mandates. Enable data democratization and self‑service capabilities through advanced reporting and analytics, partnering with senior leadership and leveraging AI and automation to elevate HR data capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and evolve people analytics frameworks and data standards to ensure accurate, compliant, and scalable insights.
- Plan and execute high‑priority data projects, managing end‑to‑end deliverables for talent acquisition, international strategy, and PS&A initiatives.
- Coach, mentor, and upskill a talented team of analysts to foster a collaborative culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
- Diagnose complex data integrity and technical pipeline challenges, mitigate workforce data risks, and uncover hidden operational opportunities.
- Research, identify, and prototype next‑generation AI and automation tools to keep the data and analytics infrastructure at the cutting edge.
- Translate complex technical findings and analytics into clear, concise narratives, executive presentations, and data‑driven recommendations for senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related) plus at least 7 years of data analytics experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 5 years of data analytics experience, with the degree obtained on or before the start date.
- At least 5 years of professional data analysis work.
- At least 5 years of experience leading and developing with open‑source data technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience managing people.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field.
- At least 7 years of hands‑on statistical or econometrics work.
- At least 5 years of experience manipulating and analyzing large data sets.
- At least 5 years in the financial services industry.
- At least 5 years of experience developing, validating, and applying statistical or econometric models.
- At least 2 years of experience with data governance.
- At least 2 years of experience with predictive analytics.
- At least 1 year of experience utilizing AI platforms such as Claude Code.
- At least 2 years of experience with Human Resources or People Analytics.
Compensation & Incentives
McLean, VA: $200,700 – $229,100. Richmond, VA: $182,500 – $208,300. This role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives. Salaries for other locations are subject to local pay ranges.
