Metropolis is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Customer Experience application development teams as we scale to the next growth phase. You will guide a distributed engineering team, partner with Product Management, Data Science, and User Research, and shape an end-to-end mobility platform impacting millions of users.

You will drive multi-year product strategy, ensure reliability, and foster a culture of collaboration and product excellence across Metropolis Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in engineering teams.
• 10+ years of software development experience building customer-centric applications.
• Experience scaling teams to 10+ people and hiring senior ICs.
• Proven ability to collaborate across product, data science, and user research.
• Track record delivering large-scale, high-volume consumer-facing systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute multi-year vision for customer-facing product offerings with Product Management.
• Establish processes for reliability while enabling rapid experimentation and data-informed decisions.
• Coach engineering team for top performance and growth.
• Drive hiring of top talent and set engineering culture standards.
• Foster collaboration to bring product and technical ideas to life.
• Manage delivery of workflows, dashboards, and data visualization apps.
