Job Description

In this role you will lead governance strategy, policies, and execution for the organization’s Digital Workplace ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring that technology, processes, and policies align with corporate objectives, compliance requirements, and best practices while enabling a seamless and secure digital employee experience. The leader will work closely with cross-functional teams-including IT, Legal, Security, Risk, HR, and Business Leadership-to establish frameworks for governance, risk management, compliance, and operational excellence in end-user services and collaboration technologies.

The Senior Manager of Corporate Governance - Digital Workplace role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

Governance Strategy & Policy Development
  • Define and implement a Digital Workplace governance strategy that balances flexibility, compliance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines for collaboration tools, productivity platforms, asset management, and digital workplace technologies (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Box, mobile device management, etc.).
  • Ensure governance frameworks support hybrid work environments, modern device management, and end-user computing strategies across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Drive risk-based governance models that enable innovation while ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal, and security requirements.
End-User Technology Governance & Compliance
  • Oversee governance for identity and access management, data lifecycle management, and content collaboration tools to ensure secure and compliant workflows for all services within the Digital Workplace
  • Work with IT Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure data protection, retention policies, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) within Digital Workplace platforms.
  • Establish governance for Copilot, generative AI, and automation tools to ensure ethical AI use, transparency, and compliance.
  • Define software and hardware lifecycle governance, including risk-based packaging strategies for application deployments.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
  • Collaborate with Legal, Security, HR, Risk, and IT teams to ensure governance policies are practical, enforceable, and user-friendly.
  • Act as a liaison between executive leadership and technology teams, advocating for governance models that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Lead change management efforts to educate employees on governance policies, best practices, and compliance requirements.
Asset Management & Operational Excellence
  • Oversee asset governance strategies, ensuring full lifecycle management of corporate-owned and BYOD devices.
  • Establish and track key governance metrics, including adherence to compliance frameworks, user adoption of governance best practices, and operational efficiencies.
  • Work with IT operations to streamline governance automation and policy enforcement through modern endpoint management and analytics tools.
Technology & Vendor Management
  • Partner with vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Apple, Google, Box, etc.) to ensure governance capabilities align with enterprise requirements.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve governance, compliance, and user experience in the Digital Workplace ecosystem.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 10+ years of experience in IT governance, digital workplace strategy, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 governance, end-user computing, IT service management (ITSM), and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Experience implementing risk-based governance frameworks and compliance policies in large, complex enterprises.
  • Knowledge of identity management, data protection, software deployment governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with executives, IT, security, risk, legal, and HR teams to drive governance strategies.
  • Proven experience leading change management and governance adoption programs.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on business enablement and risk mitigation.

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT), CISM, CISSP, or PMP are a plus.
  • Experience with AI governance, Microsoft Copilot, and automation policy frameworks.
  • Prior experience in a highly regulated industry (finance, healthcare, government, etc.).
