Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Manager, Semiconductor Supply Planning & Procurement to lead a team responsible for forecasting, sourcing, and ensuring component availability across memory, CPUs, FPGAs, and other electronic parts.

This hybrid role partners with engineering, planning, procurement, finance, and operations to drive supply health, inventory performance, and risk mitigation, while aligning with business goals and customer commitments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related fields
  • 3+ years of people management leading supply chain or procurement teams
  • Mastery in English and local language
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing decisions across orgs
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency

Responsabilités

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of commodity procurement managers and procurement operations professionals
  • Balance resources and priorities across commodities to meet objectives

Manager II, Semiconductor Supply Planning & Procurement

About the Position

Are you an experienced people leader who can bring together semiconductor commodity strategy, supply planning, procurement execution, and operational excellence to ensure critical components are available when and where they are needed?

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Manager II, Semiconductor Supply Planning & Procurement to build, develop, and lead a team of commodity procurement managers and a buy-sell procurement operations manager supporting HPE Networking sustaining products.

The team is responsible for managing the supply of critical semiconductor and memory components, including memory, CPUs, FPGAs, silicon, wireless, and other electronic components. Responsibilities span component forecasting and planning, supplier engagement, procurement execution, inventory management, allocation management, and supply risk mitigation.

In this role, you will provide leadership, direction, and operational governance across the component portfolio. You will establish priorities, balance resources, standardize processes, and ensure the team delivers consistent results that support customer commitments and business objectives. You will be accountable for overall component supply health, inventory performance, forecasting effectiveness, procurement execution, and continuity of supply.

You will collaborate closely with suppliers, distributors, inventory hubs, ODM/CM partners, engineering, planning, procurement, finance, and operations teams. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with deep semiconductor supply chain expertise, operational discipline, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex supply situations to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of commodity procurement managers and procurement operations professionals.
  • Balance resources and priorities across commodities to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Establish team priorities, goals, performance expectations, and accountability measures.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Support employee development, succession planning, and capability building.
Supply Planning & Forecasting Management
  • Own overall supply health across semiconductor and memory commodities.
  • Lead cross-commodity supply reviews and mitigation plans for shortages, allocations, and supply constraints.
  • Lead the team responsible for component forecasting and supply planning, driving forecast accuracy, supply visibility, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Drive initiatives to improve inventory performance, supplier reliability, and continuity of supply.
  • Escalate and resolve critical supply risks impacting production, customer commitments, or business objectives.
Procurement, Inventory & Supplier Operations
  • Provide leadership and oversight for procurement execution, purchase order management, supplier commitments, and CRD accuracy.
  • Serve as the escalation point for critical supplier delivery, allocation, and supply continuity issues.
  • Provide directions on supplier engagement strategies, supplier performance management, and executive-level supplier escalations.
  • Ensure inventory is appropriately positioned across distributors, hubs, and manufacturing locations.
  • Drive inventory optimization while maintaining continuity of supply.
  • Establish standardized processes for shortage management, allocation decisions, and supply escalations.
Reporting & Business Management
  • Lead executive reporting on component supply health, inventory, supplier performance, shortages, and key business risks.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop dashboards and operational reviews that improve visibility, prioritization, and decision-making.
  • Communicate supply risks, mitigation plans, and business impacts to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Standardize procurement, planning, and supply management processes across the team.
  • Drive automation, reporting enhancements, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Improve data quality, forecasting accuracy, inventory performance, and supplier execution.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions that improve supply chain performance and visibility.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; advanced university degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, commodity management, supply planning, or supply operations.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading supply chain or procurement teams.
  • Mastery in English and local language.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor and electronic component supply chains, including allocation management, inventory planning, supplier commitments, lead-time management, and lifecycle planning.
  • Experience managing supply across suppliers, distributors, ODM/CM partners, and manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decisions across multiple organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting networking, server, storage, or hardware manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing semiconductor commodities including memory, CPU, FPGA, silicon, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience overseeing inventory hubs, buy-sell procurement operations, and distributor-managed inventory models.
  • Experience working in constrained supply or allocation environments.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and analytics tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated process improvement experience.
