Newrez seeks a Senior Manager Compliance Systems - Originations to lead the compliance technology and third-party integrations, ensuring adherence to RESPA, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, GLBA, HMDA, and SAFE Act requirements. You will guide testing, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting while supervising a team of analysts.

You'll oversee LOS, POS, and other internal systems for regulatory alignment, manage vendor relationships, and participate in examinations and remediation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable with relevant experience.
• Minimum 6–8 years mortgage compliance experience and 10+ years mortgage lending experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience with ability to lead professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance technology and third-party integrations to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws.
• Lead testing, reporting, and risk assessment activities for regulatory compliance.
• Serve as SME for regulatory disclosure requirements and oversight of regulatory fee profiles.
• Manage integrations with third-party compliance software providers and internal systems (LOS, POS).
• Conduct annual performance reviews and participate in examinations and remediation planning.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager Compliance Systems - Originations supports the Company's compliance management plan through the oversight and management of the Company's Compliance technology and third-party integrations to ensure that the Company complies with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the Company's compliance initiatives, including providing management oversight over the development and execution of testing and reports to comply with the company's compliance various requirements, including Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Secure and Fair Enforcement of Licensing Act (SAFE Act), and any applicable state specific consumer protection and lending laws.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of the Company's compliance risk assessments and development of compliance test plans.
• Serve as a Company's subject matter expert on regulatory disclosure requirements, ensuring that the Company complies with all federal, state, and local disclosure requirements.
• Serve as the Company's subject matter expert and provide compliance oversight over the Company's regulatory fee profile, ensuring that all fees programmed and charged comply with federal and state regulations.
• Lead a team in providing compliance oversight over the Company's new mortgage products and services, including evaluating new product and product updates to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead a team of compliance analysts in managing the Company's integrations with its third-party compliance software providers, including but not limited to automated compliance testing service providers, document generation providers, and any other providers as outlined in the Company's compliance risk and control plan.
• Provide compliance oversight of the Company's proprietary systems, including its LOS, POS, and other internal applications to ensure new features and updates comply with federal and state laws and regulations, and investor requirements, as necessary.
• Assist with diagnosing and remediating compliance related technical issues escalated from internal and external parties.
• Conduct annual performance reviews with direct report staff.
• Participate in all aspects of federal, state, and agency/investor examinations as needed, including completing loan file reviews, preparation of examination responses, and the development of remediation plans and post implementation testing to ensure effectiveness.
• Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of management or supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to effectively lead other professionals
• 6-8 years of demonstrated mortgage legal and/or compliance experience required.
• 10+ years of mortgage lending experience required.

• Proven leadership and management skills with demonstrated ability to build a group and realize goals, and to ensure appropriate staffing and organizational structure is in place to support the Company's operations.

• Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate careful decision-making, and problem resolution skills
• An ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with mortgage Loan Originations Systems (LOS), documents and Extensible Markup Language (XML) data.
• Experience with Automated Compliance Systems (such as Mavent, Compliance Ease, etc.) is preferred.
