Job summary

KIVI in Boise, Idaho seeks a Senior Manager, Community Connections to be the station’s primary bridge to people, organizations, and conversations shaping our community. You will build trusted relationships, surface issues, and translate community insights into action that keeps KIVI responsive and relevant in local life.

In this role you’ll lead cross‑functional engagement, plan forums and town halls, and partner with News, Sales, Marketing and leadership to create meaningful opportunities that

Qualifications

BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
7+ years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, journalism, nonprofit leadership, communications, public affairs, partnership development, government relations, or related fields

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders.
Analyze and communicate community insights to leadership and partners.
Identify story opportunities with News and support audience engagement.
Lead planning of forums, town halls, and educational programs.
Develop and execute a market-wide community engagement strategy.
Advise leadership on community needs and opportunities.
Coordinate cross-functional engagement efforts and track outcomes.
