Job description

Position Purpose:

As BP Communications - IRSDC, this position plays a strategic role for the IRSDC business function, ensuring that business priorities at FMC are reinforced through in-depth communications counsel and support. The BP will support IRSDC's communications activities, with a focus on developing and implementing sustainability communications objectives to ensure that FMC's economic, environmental and social sustainability goals - and progress toward those goals - are known by all internal and external stakeholders. The Business Partner therefore leverages its communications expertise to best position the IRSDC business function's messages in different venues and to different audiences. This position facilitates integrated communications planning, provides communications support to senior leadership, and acts as a content intermediary between business expertise and target audiences by capturing key content requirements and working with CoEs to ensure timely and accurate execution.


Your Assignments:

  • Support the development of communications materials and requirements gathering for IRSDC business units.
  • Collaborate with IRSDC leadership to proactively understand and catalog the full scope of communications
  • Develop, plan and execute sustainability communications strategies and campaigns in coordination with the sustainability function.
  • Effectively collaborate with the Global Communications Center of Excellences (CoEs) to leverage their expertise and improve employee engagement with sustainability.
  • Work closely with the Sustainability Leadership Team to ensure the development of business-relevant communications materials that meet corporate goals and requirements.
  • Analyzes communications metrics to make data-driven, strategic decisions for improvement.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge and expertise on relevant best practices, technologies, methodologies, and processes related to corporate communications, executive communications, kidney health, and the healthcare industry.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, public relations or related field
  • 10 years of experience in communications, including PR, employee communications, corporate communications and marketing; demonstrated experience developing and managing a global communications function.
  • 5-10 years of experience working in a global organization and managing global communications
  • Proven success in public relations and sustainability communications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent results
  • Stress tolerant
  • Proven success working on employee communications campaigns
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to handle major reputational issues, crises, and business problems.
  • Proven experience leading global teams and working effectively within a matrix organization
  • Good verbal communication skills as well as good presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify, assess, understand, and make appropriate recommendations to meet the needs of the business.
  • Experience in crafting effective messages for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent writing skills in English and German (minimum C1), additional languages an asset
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and with Sustainability
  • Problem solving skills with particular emphasis on developing new, creative ways to promote communication in a changing business environment.
