The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an experienced Commercial Leader to join our Central Services team. This role will lead commercial strategy, proactive sales, and local market activation across a portfolio of Hyatt Studios hotels. Working closely with centralized sales, revenue management, marketing, hotel teams, and the broader Commercial Services organization, the Senior Manager will identify high-value business opportunities, strengthen sales pipelines, guide account and market prioritization, and develop strategies that support portfolio-wide revenue and performance goals. The Role

The Studios Commercial Lead - Senior Manager role is ideal for an experienced hospitality sales leader with a strong background in Essentials brands, including Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, and a demonstrated ability to lead people, influence hotel performance, and develop commercial strategies across a portfolio of properties. This position owns the commercial strategy and local market activation for Hyatt Studios hotels, with primary responsibility for proactive sales strategy, high-value account relationships, target account prioritization, pricing direction, and overall commercial performance.

The Senior Manager will evaluate market dynamics, hotel performance, business mix, competitive positioning, and revenue opportunities to establish strategic priorities for each hotel. The role will lead account selection, relationship strategy, local market outreach, and proactive sales planning while ensuring alignment between commercial strategy, revenue management, sales execution, performance reporting, and field marketing.

In partnership with hotel ownership, hotel leadership, Sales Specialists, Revenue Specialists, Performance Hub teams, and Field Marketing, the Commercial Lead will guide the launch, ramp‑up, and stabilization of Studios hotels. The Senior Manager will monitor performance, provide commercial recommendations, oversee digital and local market activation, and maintain accountability for results. This role will also lead commercial reviews, support high‑value account development, and ensure that proactive sales remains a strategic priority across the portfolio.

The position requires periodic travel to support hotel launches, market activation, commercial reviews, and stakeholder engagement, generally no more than once per month.

Qualifications
Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a sales leader within the hospitality industry, preferably with Select Service hotels.
  • Previous Hyatt experience, including familiarity with Hyatt commercial practices, systems, processes, and brand standards.
  • Demonstrated success leading people, developing talent, setting performance expectations, and driving accountability across sales or commercial teams.
  • Experience developing and executing commercial strategies across multiple hotels, a portfolio of properties, or geographically dispersed markets.
  • Proven ability to lead proactive sales strategy, including target account selection, prioritization, prospecting direction, relationship development, and local market activation.
  • Strong understanding of Group and Business Transient sales, including account development, negotiation, contracting, pipeline management, and business mix optimization.
  • Working knowledge of Revenue Management concepts, including STR reporting, market share index, competitive positioning, demand analysis, pricing methodology, rate strategy, rate parity, and revenue optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market intelligence, hotel performance, revenue insights, and business objectives into actionable commercial and sales plans.
  • Experience partnering with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, hotel leadership, ownership, and other commercial stakeholders to drive financial performance.
  • Ability to evaluate account production, market trends, pace, demand, pricing, and historical performance to inform commercial priorities and recommendations.
  • Experience leading commercial reviews and presenting strategic recommendations, performance insights, and business updates to senior leadership and hotel stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with high‑value accounts, corporate partners, third‑party organizations, and local market stakeholders.
  • Experience overseeing Envision activity, sales pipeline development, lead generation, account prioritization, and performance tracking.
  • Proven ability to monitor and evaluate KPIs such as revenue contribution, account production, market share, conversion, pace, pipeline activity, average daily rate, and business mix.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple hotels, priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a centralized commercial model while maintaining clear ownership of strategy, execution, and results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically.
Experience Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in hotels
  • Previous Hyatt Selling experience.
  • Experience opening, launching, or stabilizing new‑build or newly converted hotels.
  • Experience supporting hotel lifecycle planning, including launch and ramp‑up strategies followed by stabilized operations.
  • Experience with Hyatt systems and commercial tools, including Envision, TravelClick, STR, or similar platforms.

The salary range for this position is $105,000-$125,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
