Job summary

Hightower Advisors in Chicago seeks a Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering to lead strategy, architecture, and operations of our cloud platforms. You will partner with Infrastructure, Security, Application Development, Data, and Business teams to drive cloud transformation and scalable enterprise solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in infrastructure or cloud engineering, 3+ years leading technical teams, and deep AWS expertise. Hybrid work and strong governance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams.
• Deep expertise with AWS.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or similar IaC tools.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong cloud security, governance, and identity management expertise.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Your Future Team

The Technology organization at Hightower plays a critical role in enabling growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the firm. As Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering, you will lead the strategy, architecture, and operational management of Hightower's cloud platforms and services. This role is responsible for building and advancing a secure, scalable, and resilient cloud ecosystem that supports enterprise applications, advisor-facing platforms, and business operations. You will partner closely with Infrastructure, Security, Application Development, Data, and Business teams to drive cloud transformation initiatives, modernize infrastructure, and establish best practices across the organization.
