Job summary

AbbVie Data Science is seeking a senior leader to oversee clinical data programs, ensuring IRT/RTSM success and governance. You will manage a team, drive vendor governance, and lead initiatives for performance and cost improvements.

Role requires 8+ years in clinical data, SAS/SQL skills, CDASH/SDTM knowledge, and proven people management. You will mentor staff, influence without authority and guide cross-functional teams toward strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/CS/life sciences or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience with clinical database design, data loading and modeling (or 9+ years in a similar environment).
• Demonstrated intermediate SAS and/or SQL programming skills and knowledge of database concepts.
• In-depth knowledge of CDASH and SDTM standards and clinical trial processes.
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority and coach/mentor in a matrix environment.

• Oversee technology evaluations and implementations for performance and cost improvements.

• Ensure performance assessments, training, and retention of staff.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and provide strategic direction to staff.
