Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Manager, Clinical Data Systems in North Chicago, IL to lead data management and SDTM/CDASH delivery for complex clinical programs. You will oversee a team, manage cross-functional collaborations, and ensure data integrity and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS/Life sciences or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of clinical database design, data loading, and database modeling, or 9+ years in a similar environment.
• Intermediate SAS and/or SQL programming skills.
• Expert knowledge of CDASH and SDTM standards.
• Ability to influence others without direct authority.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

• Manage multiple technology evaluations and implementations for performance improvement and cost reduction.
• Create and sustain an environment that attracts, develops and retains talent.
• Practice continuous improvement of processes and technology usage.
• Serve as subject matter expert and process owner.
• Supervise resources within the Therapeutic Area and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development.
• Oversee vendor deliverables and ensure SDTM deliverables meet quality standards.
• Lead cross functional initiatives and provide strategic direction to staff.
