Senior Manager, Client and Investment Operations

Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

OneWell seeks an execution-focused Senior Manager, Client and Investment Operations to oversee and optimize the firm’s operational infrastructure.

This is a hybrid role requiring residence in the DC metro or NYC/NJ Metro areas, with regular commutes to Princeton, NJ or Bethesda, MD.

This key role supports daily operations, ensuring seamless service delivery to clients and advisors. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, process-oriented, experienced in the RIA space, and a collaborative team player.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Operations & Reporting
  • Manage client billing, fee calculations, invoicing, and reconciliation.
  • Oversee client reporting workflows (e.g., Adyzon) for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate account and portfolio reconciliation with custodians and advice teams.
  • Handle alternative data management for investment strategies and insights.
  • Process Optimization & Client Experience
    • Design and implement processes to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
    • Lead the firm’s technology strategy, ensuring smooth adoption of new tools.
    • Train team members on operations, technology, and service standards.
  • Risk, Compliance & Financial Oversight
    • Ensure compliance with SEC, FINRA, and firm policies; serve as a primary risk contact.
    • Prepare monthly financial reports with external partners.
    • Manage insurance policies and licensing requirements.
    • Oversee vendor relationships for optimal performance.
    • Handle select HR functions like payroll, benefits, onboarding, and employee documentation.
  • Firm-Wide Policy & Procedure Management
    • Maintain and ensure consistency of firm policies aligned with strategic goals.
    • Identify operational improvements and implement scalable solutions.
    Qualifications
    • Experience: 5-7+ years in operational leadership within an RIA or wealth management firm.
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in RIA-specific platforms (e.g., Adyzon, Schwab Advisor Center) and innovative technology adoption.
    • Process Skills: Proven ability to design and improve operational workflows focusing on efficiency and client satisfaction.
    • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of SEC and FINRA regulations for RIAs.
    • Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, or related; certifications like CFP, CFA, Series 65 are advantageous.
    • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, solutions-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
