Senior Manager – CFO Project Management, CFO Transformation

As AXA XL continues to invest in its end-to-end capabilities, the Global CFO Project Managers are key to supporting CFO cross-functional change efforts in the solution design and delivery. The role holder will manage the team of CFO Project Managers responsible for delivering change efforts across the CFO functions. The role is that of a working manager, the Senior Manager is also expected to provide project and/or program management in addition to the team lead role. Building on knowledge of our CFO processes and systems, they will partner with CFO leaders, CFO change managers and business process and systems analysts, Operations and Technology, and other functions to ensure the successful roll-out of CFO change efforts.

What you’ll be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • The Senior Manager CFO Project Management will be responsible for leading the team of CFO Project Managers. Project Managers are responsible for:
  • Project Management: Manage Global CFO change efforts as per the Change Governance Framework and AXA XL Project Management Office policies and procedures. Ensure CFO leadership and project sponsors and stakeholders have the information needed to make informed decisions and execute agreed upon outcomes.
  • Prepares project plan, sees that plan through to execution and delivery; help projects stay organized and progress towards successful completion.
  • Track project timelines and milestones to ensure project meets deadlines and achieves milestones as committed. Stays within budget/forecast parameters and adheres to original scope and quality.
  • Project managers identify and mitigate risks, communicate with stakeholders, and monitor and report on the project's progress. Seek relevant approvals and documentation of risks and governance groups consultation and reporting is completed as needed.
  • Assist in resource allocation and forecasting, risk management, and resolving operational issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • General Solution Design: Identifies business solutions to a variety of business problems. This can entail: Understanding and synthesizing business problems, identifying and documenting solutions/options through workshops and interviews, conducting analyses and documenting deliverables.
  • Coordinate Project Related Design Definition: Drive the definition and documentation of the high level target design and business outcome. Ensure E2E assessments are performed to ensure all impacted functions and processes are properly considered in the project. Identify project resource impacts/needs. Identify and document high-level product requirements, where applicable.
  • Project Implementation Support: Defines roll-out plans considering change management throughout the process. Define and deliver training to user community. Support roll-out of initiatives. Manage adoption and transition to BAU.
  • Expert user of Microsoft PowerPoint, PlanView, Microsoft CoPilot use is preferred.
  • Knowledge Sharing among CFO team: Share expertise and lessons learned on project executions amongst the their team as well as the overall CFO Transformation team to drive cross-pollination of knowledge.
  • Team leader: will have individual contributors as direct reports. Expected to work independently drive and deliver solutions with minimal oversight.

  • Effective experience in Project Management role applied in global, cross-functional and high-stake projects/programs
  • Demonstrable capabilities on leading and executing strategic & operational dimensions of project management
  • User-oriented with strong methodologies and convictions to ensure stakeholders buy-in, and users’ adoption
  • Knowledge and experience of project methodologies, i.e. Agile and traditional waterfall
  • Extensive experience in driving programs in the insurance industry and international environment, coupled with other relevant experience.
  • Experience in consulting roles, equipped with various tools and techniques for status assessments, solutioning, visualization and implementation of various business problems. Co-facilitator for workshops, forums, interviews and other business interactions
  • Robust capabilities in documenting, visualizing and presenting design decision and progress status
  • Manages defined workstreams independently and considers interdependency with other areas proactively
  • Influential collaborative skills and experience in cooperating and across multiple teams/stakeholders
  • Good analytical/conceptual skills complemented with effective social/soft skills
  • Good organizational skills, communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical and creative mindset
  • PMI or similar certification a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment
  • People management experience, leading teams and individuals

Sustainability at AXA XL

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $151,500 to $227,500 USD.
