The Senior Manager of Retail Deployment & Installation is a strategic and operational leader within the Samsung Retail Team, responsible for directing and executing end-to-end retail merchandising fixture rollouts, interactive display installations, and capital reset projects nationwide across CE Retailers. This role spearheads deployment programs across both Home Entertainment (HE) (TV, Audio, Monitor, Memory) and Digital Appliances (DA) (e.g., Bespoke Refrigerators, Laundry Systems, Cooking, Dishwashers) across National Retail Partners (Best Buy, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, Target, Walmart), Regional Independents, and Direct-to-Consumer retail environments.

Based in Plano, TX, the Senior Manager will manage deployment budgets, orchestrate nationwide networks of third-party labor and fixture fabrication partners, and ensure flawless in-store execution that elevates the Samsung brand, maximizes retail footprint compliance, and drives conversion.

Key Responsibilities
Merchandising Deployment & Program Execution
  • Lead Nationwide Rollouts: Direct the planning, scheduling, staging, and physical installation of retail merchandising fixtures, endcaps, freestanding island displays, shop-in-shops, and interactive feature bays across national HE and DA retail channels
  • Channel-specific Adaptation: Partner with account teams to tailor deployment playbooks for diverse retailer environments—from consumer electronics big-box formats (Best Buy) to home improvement warehouse channels (The Home Depot, Lowe’s) and club channels (Costco, Sam’s Club)
  • New Product Launch (NPL) Resets: Drive timely execution of seasonal resets and major NPL launches, ensuring synchronized floor readiness aligned with national marketing campaigns, commercial launch dates, and promotional windows
  • Pilot & Prototyping Validation: Oversee field prototyping, test installations, and time-and-motion studies for new fixture concepts to validate build quality, install efficiency, electrical/network compliance, and ease of maintenance prior to mass deployment
Vendor Management
  • Vendor Ecosystem Leadership: Manage relationships, contracts, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for fixture fabricators, logistics/warehousing partners, and national 3rd-party installation and field labor agencies
  • SLA & Performance Governance: Establish rigorous Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and scorecards governing installation completion rates, first-time-right percentages, punch-list turnaround, and safety compliance
  • Escalation & Issue Resolution: Serve as the central operational escalation point for field-level issues (e.g., missing hardware, store-level access restrictions, structural discrepancies) to minimize retail disruption
  • Value Engineering: Partner with procurement and design teams to identify value-engineering opportunities in fixture construction, packaging, and installation methodologies without sacrificing brand equity
Cross-Functional Leadership & Reporting
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the deployment and installation MDF budget, ensuring cost efficiency, accurate Purchase Order (PO) administration, invoice reconciliation, and regular variance reporting
  • Real-Time Visibility & Reporting: Leverage digital retail execution platforms and automated reporting dashboards to track installation progress, survey verification photos, and store-level sign-offs in real time
  • Audit & Compliance Management: Execute post-installation compliance audits across store fleets, driving rapid remediation for punch-list items and maintaining pristine visual merchandising standards
  • Internal Stakeholder Synergy: Partner closely with Retail Design, Product Marketing, Channel Sales, Supply Chain, and Category Management to align fixture specifications with merchandising guidelines and product roadmaps
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in retail deployment, visual merchandising operations, retail project management, or fixture construction
  • PMP or formal Project Management certification is a strong plus.
  • Category Expertise: Proven track record managing multi-site rollout programs within Consumer Electronics (HE), Major Appliances (DA), or high-volume big-box retail environments
  • Technical & Functional Competencies
  • Retail Channel Acumen: In-depth understanding of retail store operations, commercial fixture installations, electrical/digital signage integration, and channel-specific compliance requirements across major U.S. retailers (Best Buy, The Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.)
  • Vendor & Labor Oversight: Strong background directing third-party labor workforces, union/non-union installation teams, and logistics providers at a national scale (1,000+ doors)
  • Software & Tools: Advanced proficiency in project management applications (MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana), data analysis tools (Advanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau), and retail audit/field management platforms
Skills And Qualifications
Preferred Skills
  • Execution Rigor: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage 20+ overlapping project timelines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Broad understanding of retail landscape trends, evolving shopper behavior, and competitive positioning
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, think strategically, and translate vision into organizational actio.
