Job description

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Every member of our Madrigal team is connected by our shared purpose: leading the fight against MASH.

Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

Our success is driven by our people. We are building a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing culture that values scientific excellence, operational rigor, and collaboration. To support our continued growth, we are strengthening our workforce strategy to ensure we have the right talent, at the right time, in the right way.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Support patient-based and demand forecasting models for assigned brand(s), spanning in-line and long-range horizons.
  • Apply and maintain robust forecasting methodology, including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and risk-adjusted forecasting.
  • Partner with Commercial and Finance leadership on performance tracking, KPI dashboards, and business review analytics.
  • Leverage patient-level analytics - line of therapy, patient journey, new vs. continuing patients, switching, persistence, and adherence - to uncover growth drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional analytics & data team to understand latest on-ground intel and leverage the most relevant data sources to inform assumptions and forecast scenarios
  • Support variance and root-cause analyses linking actual performance to forecast assumptions and executional drivers, and reconcile patient, sales, and audit perspectives into a single source of brand-performance truth.
  • Manage forecasting vendors or consultants as needed, and mentor junior analysts supporting brand analytics.
Qualifications
  • Typical Degree & Years of Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech commercial analytics, including direct experience in brand analytics and/or forecasting.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical demand and patient-based forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience working with syndicated and patient-level data (e.g., IQVIA NPA/NSP, LAAD, DDD, Xponent), claims, and specialty pharmacy data.
  • Hands-on proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical platform (SAS, R, or Python), plus data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting specialty or rare disease brands, ideally through a launch.
  • Experience with hands on development of forecast and relevant analytics to track performance
  • Experience with leadership presentation development
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior analyst.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong quantitative and statistical forecasting skills, with attention to methodological rigor.
  • Ability to translate forecast output into clear business narratives for commercial and finance leadership.
  • Attention to detail balanced with a view toward the broader strategic picture.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration with brand, finance, and market access teams.
