Job summary

Avid Bioservices is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing (Flex Shift) to lead GMP manufacturing across Upstream, Downstream, and Formulation during the evening shift. You will serve as the primary on-site escalation point and partner with QA to ensure real-time GMP decisions and quality in every batch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of biologics or pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing with demonstrated leadership across multiple manufacturing functions.
• 5+ years of people management experience, including direct supervision of supervisors or managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of Upstream, Downstream, and Formulation during the Flex shift (5:00 pm – 2:00 am).
• Serve as primary escalation point for manufacturing, quality, safety, and operational issues.
• Make real-time GMP decisions, including deviations, execution concerns, and risks, with QA alignment.
• Maintain strong on-the-floor presence to ensure adherence to procedures and rapid issue resolution.
• Directly manage and coach Manufacturing Supervisors across functions, driving accountability and development.
