Job summary

Foley & Lardner LLP in Milwaukee seeks a Senior Manager, Professional Development to lead the attorney training function, oversee the CLE team, and guide the AI learning strategy across the firm.

You will collaborate with the Director, Chief Talent Officer, and firm leaders to design, implement, and scale programs spanning professional development, business of law, and client service, from first-year associates to senior partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; JD preferred.
• Minimum ten (10) years of legal practice in a large law firm and/or experience in professional development or training, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm.
• Experience with or exposure to legal technology and AI tools in a professional services context preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all attorney training including legal and professional skills training across practice groups and career stages.
• Operationalizes the firm's attorney AI learning strategy across the attorney lifecycle while preserving foundational lawyering skills.
• Develops, pilots, and scales AI-related curriculum, resources, and programming aligned with firm priorities.
• Manages training programs for professional success, business of law, and business development.
• Supervises the Continuing Legal Education team and coordinates CLE credits and bar dues.
• Collaborates with leadership to deliver onboarding for new associates and partners (e.g., New Associate Academy, Promoted Partner Program).
