Job summary

3D Systems in Littleton, Colorado seeks a Senior Manager of Application Development Engineering to lead the teams under the VP of the Application Innovation Group. You will guide project portfolios, technical roadmaps, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing and regulatory groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 10+ years in a regulated environment (medical device, aerospace, etc.).
• 10+ years of engineering leadership and people management experience.
• Proven experience leading managers and developing future leaders.
• Experience managing projects, technology transfer, design transfer, and manufacturing scale-up.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and regulations (ISO 13485, AS9100, FDA).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Application Development Engineering managers, engineers, and project managers.
• Scale and evolve a high-performing engineering organization.
• Define succession plans and coaching programs aligned with business initiatives.
• Oversee project portfolio execution, staffing, resource allocation, and milestones.
• Define technical requirements, roadmaps, and deployment strategies with strategic customers.
• Drive organizational transformation for scalable execution and cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead technology transfer and design transfer through manufacturing deployment, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Commercial teams to improve product realization and processes.
• Collaborate with Business Development and customers on growth roadmaps and capacity planning.
