Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Process Engineering to own design, documentation, and optimization of revenue cycle workflows across payer-provider systems.

You’ll translate complex healthcare processes into testable requirements for engineering teams, acting as a connector between operations, product, and engineering. You will drive discovery, map processes, create PRDs and user stories, and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in healthcare BA/Process Analyst roles.
• Deep knowledge of payer rules, claims workflows, denials management.
• Experience with operational analytics and large data sets.
• Ability to translate workflows into PRDs and user stories.
• Experience with change management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive AI-enabled revenue cycle solutions using data to identify opportunities.
• Analyze solution performance and translate findings into actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution with leadership, ops, product, eng, vendors.
• Lead stakeholder discussions and provide actionable feedback.
• Document PRDs, user stories, process maps, and decision trees.
• Support backlog refinement and ensure requirements are testable.
