Job summary

ASHP in Bethesda, MD, seeks a Senior Manager, Advocacy Content Development to craft timely advocacy content and resources that advance policy priorities for pharmacists and healthcare stakeholders.

The role translates complex policy issues into engaging formats—infographics, podcasts, webinars, videos, and digital resources—and collaborates across government relations, marketing, and communications to educate and mobilize members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 5–8 years of public affairs, government relations, or advocacy content experience.
• Experience with policymakers or trade associations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and produces advocacy materials supporting priorities.
• Creates content including infographics, fact sheets, briefings, talking points, podcasts, webinars, videos, and digital resources.
• Translates complex policy issues into clear, audience-focused materials.
• Manages planning and coordination of webinars, podcasts, virtual events, and other content initiatives.
• Identifies new content formats to support campaigns and education.
• Coordinates multimedia advocacy resources for education and policy objectives.
• Supports rapid-response advocacy with timely content.
• Maintains advocacy content resources, templates, and toolkits.
• Monitors policy developments to identify content opportunities.
• Creates action alerts to mobilize ASHP members.
• Tracks performance and recommends improvements.
• Collaborates with communications, multimedia, creative, and digital teams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
