Job summary

CDW LLC in the United States is seeking a Senior Manager, Cloud Sales and Margin Accounting who will oversee the accounting and financial governance of the cloud solutions portfolio, including resale, managed services, subscriptions, and usage-based offerings.

You will drive close processes, implement scalable controls, partner with Sales, Cloud Operations and Technology, mentor team members, and ensure GAAP compliance, while supporting growth and profitability across cloud businesses.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience with 4+ years in accounting and 3 years in management.
  • CPA certification and public accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with cloud, SaaS, managed services, or subscription revenue models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the accounting and financial oversight of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to cloud revenue, cloud costs, and other cloud-related accounting activities.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable processes that support the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for cloud revenue, cloud costs, and related financial activities.
  • Partner with Sales, Cloud Operations, and Technology teams to support new cloud offerings, commercial programs, and strategic initiatives, ensuring operational readiness and financial governance are established upfront.
  • Provide accounting leadership and business guidance on complex cloud transactions, commercial arrangements, and evolving business models, balancing technical accounting requirements with operational practicality.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, controls, and governance frameworks that support accurate financial reporting while enabling business growth and scalability.
  • Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis teams to understand financial trends, support forecasting activities, and improve visibility into revenue and profitability drivers.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, simplify workflows, and leverage technology, data, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance decision-making.
  • Advance the performance and development of coworkers across the team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and maintain a strong control environment that supports compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and financial reporting obligations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Cloud Sales and Margin Accounting who thrives at the intersection of accounting, operations, and business transformation. This role will lead the accounting and financial oversight of the Company's cloud solutions portfolio, including cloud resale, managed services, subscriptions, and cloud consumption-based offerings. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, cost accounting, gross profit reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP while partnering closely with business leaders to support growth, profitability, and operational excellence across the cloud business.

What we expect of you
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 7 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 4 years in an accounting role and 3 years in a management role.
  • CPA certification and public accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience working with cloud, technology, SaaS, managed services, subscription, or other recurring revenue business models preferred.
  • Experience working with large, publicly traded entities preferred.
  • Strong ownership and accountability of self and team delivering on commitments and results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to influence without authority and effectively and efficiently engage with cross functional teams leading to best outcomes for the company.
  • Strong capabilities around talent management, including talent development and optimization.
  • Business and financial acumen, with ability to understand the business transactions and financial implications of those transactions leading to better financial insights.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices with the ability to apply them in a business analysis situation.
  • Strong data and analytics capabilities, leveraging large data sets and driving insights and trends to understand financial results.
  • Process improvement and innovation mindset with ability to scope problems, develop solutions, and drive execution using modern technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Approaches each day with critical thinking and continuously challenging how we are executing with ability to evaluate new ways of working.
Payrange

Payrange: $143,000- $180,000depending on experience and skill set
