Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Proficiency in Dexa, breast interventional procedures, and using Hologic equipment.
• 3 plus years of experience in screening and diagnostic procedures.
• Experience with Stereotactic biopsy and ultrasound guided core biopsies preferred.
• Excellent patient care skills with an ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team.
• Strong technical skills with an ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and procedures.
• Current certification as a Mammography Technologist from an accredited institution.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining patient safety and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Performing mammography examinations using Hologic equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Performing diagnostic procedures such as Stereotactic biopsy and ultrasound guided core biopsies.
• Utilizing Dexa scan technology for bone density assessments.
• Assisting physicians with breast interventional procedures.
• Providing compassionate and effective patient care, including explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Ensuring the quality of mammograms and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards.
• Maintaining and operating mammography equipment.
• Participating in ongoing education and training.
