Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging procedures and support diagnostic services. You will operate mammographic equipment, ensure image quality, and follow regulatory requirements.

The role includes mentoring residents and coordinating with the radiology team to maintain department standards in breast imaging. A strong background in mammography and ARRT certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 2 years experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• ARRT Radiography registration and ARRT Mammography certification upon hire.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews exam requisitions and notes pertinent information.
• Positions patient and equipment and selects the protocol.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and requests additional images as needed.
• Maintains records and files per regulatory agencies.
• Mentors residents and junior technologists.
• Coordinates in the absence of lead technologists.
• Ensures department meets regulatory requirements.

Education

AMA approved Radiologic Technology program / JRCERT accredited program
