Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking a part-time radiologic technologist specializing in breast imaging for their Edmonds outpatient services. You will conduct radiographic procedures for breast diagnostics, ensuring high image quality and strict MQSA compliance while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The role requires ARRT registry, Washington license, BLS, and mammography certification within one year.

Qualifications

• BLS from American Heart Association upon hire.
• ARRT Radiography certification upon hire.
• Mammography certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures for breast imaging in outpatient settings.
• Produce high quality images while interacting with patients professionally and compassionately.
• Complete QC activities as mandated by MQSA and FDA per department policy.

Description

This position is required to perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting, either fixed or mobile. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA either as designated Quality Control technologist as under their direction.

Required Qualifications:

• Formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of full-time mammography.
