Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Seattle is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in breast imaging to perform high-quality mammography and related procedures in a busy outpatient setting.

You will ensure MQSA compliance, participate in quality control activities, and, depending on location, may perform general radiography exams while delivering compassionate patient care. Employment includes a $10,000 signing bonus for eligible external hires.

Qualifications

• ARRT registry as radiologic technologist required.
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist status.
• Upon hire: BLS from American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: NRRT Radiography certification.
• Within 1 year: NRRT Mammography certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast radiology procedures and related imaging.
• Produce high-quality radiographic images with patient care.
• Participate in MQSA and FDA-required quality control.
• May perform general radiography exams depending on location.

This position is required to perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Dependent on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Mammography

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of full-time mammography experience
