The Purdue For Life Foundation seeks a Development Officer or Senior Development Officer for the College of Health and Human Sciences. The role includes frequent travel and donor engagement through the full development process, including solicitation of major gifts to support university priorities.

You will collaborate with the Major Gifts team, set fundraising goals, maintain records in Purdue's prospect management system, and participate in donor events regionally in a hybrid, full-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Development Officer: 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Senior Development Officer: 4-6 years of relevant experience required.
• Prior experience in fund development, including exposure to or solicitation of annual gifts, major gifts, and planned gifts is preferred but not a requirement.
• Experience in higher education or other non-profit organizations is preferred but not a requirement.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute donor plans to bring donors to the College of Health and Human Sciences and the University through travel and the development process.
• Orchestrate advancement of relationships through qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
• Solicit and secure major gifts aligned with strategic goals of the college and university.
• Use the full fundraising process, including visits and asks to move relationships forward.
• Frequent travel and/or evening and weekend duties required.
• Collaborate with development and academic staff to develop prospect strategies and build relationships around initiatives.
• Set specific goals to advance solicitation of major gifts.
• Coordinate with unit and University constituencies.
• Participate in donor events locally and regionally.
• Provide stewardship of gifts through acknowledgement and events with the donor relations team.
• Understand key initiatives of the College relating to faculty, students, instruction and research.
• Maintain records in the prospect management system; file prospect assignments and contact reports.
• Report progress toward annual action plan.
• Become adept using advancement databases to support major gift activities.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through involvement in organizations.
