Job summary

Purdue For Life Foundation is seeking a Development Officer to advance major gifts and annual giving for Purdue University College of Engineering. You will identify prospects, coordinate donor strategies, and collaborate with university leaders to meet fundraising goals.

The role requires public speaking, strong relationship-building, and the ability to travel and work evenings or weekends. On-site presence in West Lafayette, Indiana is expected up to 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Public speaking skills are essential.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and donors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute plans to bring donors to Purdue College of Engineering and University.
• Set objectives to solicit major gifts per foundation metrics.
• Identify and contact current and prospective major gift donors.
• Travel and evening/weekend duties required.
• Collaborate with development and department staff on donor strategies.
• Set goals to advance annual and major gifts.
• Host and attend donor events locally and regionally.
• Maintain familiarity with College of Engineering initiatives and report progress.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM for donor activities and share updates with colleagues.
• Work as liaison for unit heads as needed; on-site in West Lafayette, IN up to 3 days weekly.
