Job summary

Mars is seeking an Area Maintenance Technician to own PM systems for the assigned production area and lead efforts to eliminate maintenance and breakdown losses. The role focuses on building capability within Operating teams and driving continuous improvement through TPM/Lean practices.

You will oversee planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for maintenance, coach technicians and operators, and participate in daily FMOS and DMS activities.

Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Clear ability to relate to and motivate people and train effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance planning and scheduling for the assigned area.
• Own PM systems and drive breakdown elimination.
• Coordinate planned stops and assign maintenance resources.
• Act as spokesperson for the maintenance group in DMS discussions.
• Coach technicians and operators on equipment and processes.
• Participate in Line 90-Day loss-elimination plans and FMOS meetings.
• Provide performance data for selected machines and report actions taken.
