Gates Corporation in Galesburg, IL is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to lead multi-craft maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, ensuring production equipment runs efficiently and safely.

You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot root causes, document work in the CMMS, mentor other technicians, and collaborate with engineers to improve equipment reliability and production throughput.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a state-accredited Journeyman or technical school program, OR equivalent education/experience.
• Proficiency in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, instrumentation and controls, and fabrication/machine shop work.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on equipment, including repairs, inspections, and overhauls.
• Identify root causes via analytical troubleshooting and implement solutions.
• Repair mechanical and electrical equipment; troubleshoot control systems and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with supervisors, operators, engineers and technicians to improve equipment and production efficiency.
• Participate in cross-functional teams supporting continuous improvement and equipment installation/modification projects.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training to other technicians and operators.
• Document work in SOPs, SHE standards, GMPs, and CMMS, including work orders and permits.
