Job summary

Chestnut Labs is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation support for production lines and utilities.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in maintenance-related roles, with experience in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems, and knowledge of ammonia refrigeration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education credentials include high school diploma or equivalent, with trade/technical schooling preferred.
• 4–6 years of maintenance or related experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred and certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utilities.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess reliability and performance.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and train operators when needed.
• Complete work orders promptly while maintaining high quality standards.
• Utilize hand/power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely.
• Document repairs and required information clearly in SOPs and paperwork.
• Communicate with other departments and management about issues affecting production.
• Stay current on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques; identify process improvement opportunities.

Education
