Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician at our Whitewater, WI facility. You will diagnose and repair complex equipment, lead major maintenance projects, and help improve reliability and performance while mentoring other technicians.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving, and the ability to drive improvements across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in equipment/industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose complex equipment problems and implement effective repairs.
• Experience training or mentoring other maintenance technicians.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate technical work and maintenance projects.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex manufacturing machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute major equipment repairs, rebuilds, installations, and maintenance projects to support safe, reliable operations.
• Investigate recurring equipment failures, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future breakdowns.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment design, performance, reliability, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and improve SOPs, preventive maintenance practices, and long-term equipment maintenance strategies.
• Train, mentor, and certify Level 1 and Level 2 Maintenance Technicians, sharing technical knowledge and strengthening team capabilities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase equipment uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and improve workplace safety.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable safety, environmental, and quality requirements while supporting a safe working environment.
