Job summary

Dayton-Phoenix Group in Dayton, OH, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment across the facility. This role supports safety and reliability, with responsibilities including troubleshooting, reading schematics, and working with CNC controls, drives, and hydraulics.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in troubleshooting and repair, plus strong electrical knowledge and the ability to work odd hours and with outside

Qualifications

Five+ years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair, and service of manufacturing and facility equipment.
Minimum three years of technical training.
Electrical knowledge (DC and AC) and industrial power distribution systems.
Understanding/experience with stamping presses and associated equipment.
Understanding/experience with AC/DC drives, servo motors, and controls.
Understanding/experience with motors, transformers, and generators.
Ability to use electrical test equipment (ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, etc.).
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic repair/service.
Ability to read and follow blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

Maintain preventive maintenance and repair of machines across the facility to keep production running.
Use maintenance work order system to receive tasks, update projects, and document work performed.
Troubleshoot issues and resolve to maintain equipment reliability.
Work with outside contractors and internal teams to complete tasks.
Read blueprints/schematics and troubleshoot CNC controls and PLC/relay logic.
