Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. in Marlborough, MA seeks a Maintenance and Facilities Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes, motors). You will lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, and use computer tools to access documents and procedures.

You will support daily production, troubleshoot issues, train new employees, work 4-on/4-off shifts, and uphold safety standards while expanding skills across related facilities domains.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial maintenance experience.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Use of PPE and familiarity with Microsoft software tools.
• Physical requirements include climbing, bending, standing and lifting.

Job description

• The candidate will provide troubleshooting and repair skills on mechanical equipment for the site. This includes preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of rotating equipment such as pumps, gear boxes, and motors. The candidate will also lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools, and use general computer skills to access documents, email, and maintenance procedures.
• Support day to day operations with maintenance support on production equipment.
• Be able to troubleshoot issues that affect manufacturing.
• Be available for calls on off hours if problems arise.
• Willing to take responsibility for working safely themselves and any workers under their direction.
• Train new employees on use of tools and equipment.
• Display mechanical aptitude to fix and install manufacturing and facility type equipment.
• Identify areas of improvement including design changes and preventive maintenance improvements.
• Interact with production operators to understand issues and concerns and address appropriately.
• Ability to learn quickly and willing to expand knowledge and develop skills in related fields of the competency.

Qualifications:

• Maintenance and Facilities Technician
• Rotating Day Shift (4 ON 4 OFF): 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.
• A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 4 years industrial maintenance experience
• Use of PPE – personal protective equipment
• General computer skills - familiar with Microsoft software tools
