Comstock-Companies in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair and carpentry experience to maintain our luxury apartment community. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to work orders, and deliver a resident-first service mindset.

This role requires strong problem-solving, reliable on-call availability, and the ability to coordinate with residents and team members to keep units and common areas in top condition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent experience.
• Maintenance technician with minimum 3 years of experience.
• CFC Universal Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems required.
• Class A experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends, including on-call rotation.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies within 45 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Provide Class A customer service and build rapport with residents.
• Perform repairs, maintenance and cleaning of interior and exterior property.
• Protect and improve the value of client assets through proactive care.
• Perform PM on unit-based and building-level equipment.
• Participate in emergency on-call rotation and respond promptly to requests.
• Handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting tasks.
• Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, doors/cabinets, walls and exteriors.
• Make ready units for new move-ins and prepare grounds as needed.
• Assist with general grounds work and landscaping as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Class “A” customer service – building a good rapport with residents and going above and beyond whenever possible
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of property both interior and exterior
• Protect and assist in improving the value of the client’s assets
• Perform PM on unit based and building level equipment
• Perform emergency on-call service in a rotation order
• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting
• Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
• Make ready units for new move-ins
• Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement
• Maintenance Technician for a minimum of 3 years
• CFC Universal Certification preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems required
• Class A experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook required
• Current driver's license without major violations
• Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people and build strong relationships
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to respond to others’ needs in a timely and courteous manner
• Ability to work after hours and weekends, as needed including on-call rotation
• Ability to arrive at property location within 45 minutes to respond to emergencies
• Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrity
