Senior Maintenance Technician – Refrigeration & Equipment (Tampa, Florida)

ProSight Talent is pleased to represent a client in Tampa, Florida, in their search for a Senior Maintenance Technician – Refrigeration & Equipment. This opportunity is ideal for a bilingual skilled technician with deep expertise in refrigeration systems and equipment maintenance who is ready to take on a senior‑level role with a leading organization in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.

Base Pay Range

$100,000.00/yr – $125,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production lines and utility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues.
  • Calibrate sensors, rebuild pumps, and complete preventive maintenance on compressors.
  • Maintain boilers, cooling towers, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct equipment setups and changeovers.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure machinery supports output goals.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators on equipment use.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and system logs.
  • Adhere to GMPs, OSHA protocols, and company safety policies.
  • Monitor and maintain chemical levels in accordance with operational standards.
  • Train junior mechanics and operators on proper equipment handling.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate reorders with purchasing.
  • Prioritize and complete assigned work orders based on urgency and production impact.
Skills & Requirements
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • 10–15 years of experience with ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, and boiler systems.
  • Strong Spanish speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance software (e.g., MaintainX).
  • Ability to read schematics and utilize diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards.
  • Dependable, organized, and proactive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications in CIRO or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10–15 years in manufacturing maintenance, with at least 10 years focused on ammonia systems.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel if required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
  • Must be able to work in hot/cold conditions and noisy environments.
  • Visual abilities including close, distance, and depth perception.
